The Jackson Diner is a fabulous Indian restaurant in Jackson Heights, home of the largest Indian community not in South Asia. We ate there on November 1st, 2002, a day after I turned 25.
These pictures were taken on my brand-spanking-new Canon A40 digital camera, my bday present to myself.
The people: Me, Jeremy Schiffer; Rachel Werner, my girlfriend; Rachel Brugger, Rachel Werner's former roommate (they lived together when Rach and I met); Chris Rohrs, a clarinet player in the Wind Ensemble who went to MIT; Barnaby Kendall, a bassoon player in the Wind Ensemble who went to the University of Leeds (England); Jamie Foehl, a friend from Carleton (woo-hoo, class of '99!); Naoko Hashimoto, a french horn/piano player in the Wind Ensemble who went to Curtis Institute; and Judy Kang, a very cool friend of Naoko's from Curtis who is a professional violin player and profesional studies student at Manhattan School of Music.
